Planning Perspectives is the world’s leading authority on buyer-supplier relations. We perform an annual in-depth analysis of North American automotive OEMs and their Tier 1 suppliers. Most of our clients, however, are outside of the auto industry. Planning Perspectives offers our clients an integrated approach to understanding all aspects of their manufacturer–supplier interfacing activities that helps them develop more profitable and sustainable competitive advantages.
For our manufacturing clients, we provide a fact-based understanding of how their customers and suppliers perceive their policies, programs, and procedures. This understanding is derived from in-depth interviews and/or surveys of customer, manufacturer, and supplier personnel, and from benchmarking studies both within and outside of the client’s industry. The results are translated into actionable recommendations tailored to the client’s competitive situation, which will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturer – supplier interfacing activities and their working relations with customers and suppliers.
For our supplier clients, we provide the capabilities and methodologies for gaining an in-depth understanding of the interfacing activities and working relations that exists between our supplier clients and their manufacturing customers from the perspective of both the client and its B2B customers. This understanding results in recommendations that improve the supplier’s effectiveness in meeting the needs and expectations of its manufacturing customers. The net result is a strengthening of our client’s market position.
